Jana Sena Founder Pawan Kalyan visited Itchapuram town of Srikakulam district to a meet with the victims of kidney disorders of Uddanam region.
Pawan Kalyan interacted with the Kidney patients at a local cinema theater and was disheartened to hear from the Kidney victims on their plight. He was seen carried away, when he heard from a women who spoke that she sold her land and gold to get treated. She said she is spending around Rs 3000- Rs 3500 thrice a week for dialysis.
Expressing his concern over the negligence on the Uddanam Kidney Victims, Pawan Kalyan demanded that the government should immediately allocate Rs 100 crore to provide immediate relief to them. Pawan Kalyan requested the state government to appoint a committee to look into the reasons for the Kidney disease in Uddanam region. He gave 48 hours deadline for the government to respond and 15 days time to take proper action. He said he would lead a national movement if no action is taken with in 15 days. He is he is not doing this for any political mileage and urged all to find the real problem behind this disease.
Pawan Kalyan also named a five- member committee of Jana Sena to submit a report on the intensity of the disease and said that the he would personally submit the report to Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu to intervue in this matter. Pawan Kalyan said that he is surprised to see ministers and public servants from both, state and central governments not taking any step in regards to this chronic disorder.
