KTR Challenges Opposition

IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao challenged opposition to prove any corruption in regards to Mission Bhagiratha and said that he is ready to face any punishment.


He was participating in a discussion on Corruption in Mission Bhagiratha in Assembly Session. Congress Member and TPCC President N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Bhatti Vikramarka alleged that there was huge corruption in finalizing the Mission Bhagiratha tenders. Opposition demanded to place all the files before the Speaker and sought to constitute a house committee for enquiry. They questioned on the tenders that were filed for 10 to 30 % les amount against the government estimates in Mission Kakatiya. They questioned why the Bhagiratha tenders were filed for only 0.25 to 0.15 less amount than the government estimations.

KTR gave a Speech citing the importance of Water Planning. He gave the date released by United Nations on the drinking water facilities in India especially in Telangana. He mocked congress which is a root cause for all the scams in the country preaching righteousness lessons. He said that when government is trying to develop Telangana by bringing drinking water to every house instead of encouraging and supporting the act, opposition parties are doing the same mistake of stopping development which they did for decades. He questioned Congress leaders who rules the state for many years whether they have provided drinking water for their own districts.
