With just few days left for crucial by-elections in Nandyal Assembly seat, local politician, Senior Leader Gangula Pratap Reddy retuned back to Telugu Desam Party. He met Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in the secretariat and joined TDP. It is being said that TDP may give the MLC Seat to Gangula Pratap Reddy which was vacated by Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy earlier this month.
With changing equations in Nandyal, both TDP and YSRCP are leaving no stone unturned to get a upper hand. Both the parties are trying to woo the local leaders in to their parties. As per the initial survey in the Nandyal Constituency it is going to be a close fight between TDP and YSRCP.
Incidentally, last February Pratap Reddy brother Prabhakar Reddy who was in TDP quit the party and joined YSRCP. He was immediately rewarded with MLC Seat in the March. He was also considered to be the YSRCP candidate for Nandyal byelections but because of last minute defection of Shilpa Mohan Reddy , equations changes in YSRCP and Shilpa is now the YSRCP Candidate.
