Wanna Cry attacks AP Secretariat

The Wanna Cry Virus which has blasted by attacking hundreds of thousands of computers across 100 countries in the world has did not leave the AP Secretariat as well. This most malicious ransomware virus has attacked at least 25% of the computers in the Secretariat at Amaravati. The majority of the affected systems are located in the Block 4 and Block 5 and the security experts got into their action as quickly as possible and they started rewriting the hacked discs by Wanna Cry. As of now, there is no clear news that whether this virus has attacked the CM chamber or not. All the systems which are exposed to this attack are off the Microsoft Operating Systems and there is no concrete clarity achieved in terms whether there is a loss of computer saved files, data and documents.


Andhra Pradesh Bureaucrats are getting worried as it is known that AP government has been transforming into a paperless environment. Ramsomware-Wanna Cry is a dangerous virus which is specifically made to target numerous government departments along with banks, Police, medical services and other financial agencies across the Globe.
