Red Zones identified in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh government announced 97 Mandals in the state are under Red Zone. These Red Zone Mandals were finalized following a record number of Corona positive cases registered throughout the state on Saturday. There are 676 Mandals in the state. The district collectors have been advised to take the zone as a unit and as per the guidelines provided by the central government.

 


If a positive case is not registered in the Red Zone for 14 days, the zone will be declared under the orange zone.

Below is the list of Mandals that are announced as Red Zones.

Kurnool(17): Kurnool (Urban), Nandyala, Banaganapalli Rural, Panayam Rural, Atmakur (Urban), Nandikotkur (Urban), Kodumuru, Shirivella, Chagalamurri, Bethancherla, Gadamela, Gudururu (Urban), Orvalkalu, Avaku, Udukayaduwa , Emiganoor (urban)

 


Nellore(14): Nellore (Urban), Naidupet (Urban), Vakadu, Tada, Allur, Indukurpet, Balaayapalle, Bogolu, Buchi Reddipalem, Gudur (Town), Kavali (Urban), Kovur, Ojili, Thotapalligudur

 

Guntur(12): Guntur (Urban), Narasaraopeta, Macharla (Urban), Achampeta Rural, Mangalagiri (Urban), Ponnur (Urban), Chebrolu, Dachepalli, Karampudi, Krosur, Medikondur, Tadepally (Urban)

 

West Godavari(9): Eluru (urban and rural), Bhimavaram (urban), Tadepalligudem (urban), Akiwidu, Bhimadolu, Undi, Kovvuru (urban), Narasapuram (urban)

 


Prakasam(9): Ongolu (Urban), Sarees (Urban), Karanchedu, Kandukur (Urban), Gudalur, Kanigiri (Urban), Corisapadu, Markapuram (Urban), Podili

 


East Godavari(8): Shankhavaram Rural, Hosipetta, Kakinada Rural, Pithapuram (Urban), Rajahmundry (Urban), Obstructive, Peddapuram (Urban), Raja Mahendravaram Rural

 

Chittoor(8): Srikalahasti (Urban), Tirupati (Urban), Nagari (Urban), Palamaneru, Renigunta, Nindra, Vadamkalpet, Arupadu

 

Kadapa(7): Prodhuttur (Urban), Kadapa (Urban), Badvelu (Urban), Pulivendula (Urban), Maidukuru (Urban), Vampalle, Redguntla (Urban)

 

Krishna(5): Vijayawada (Urban), Penamalur Rural, Jaggaiahpet (Urban), Noozividu (Urban), Machilipatnam (Urban)

 

Anantapur(5): Hindupuram (Urban), Anantapur (Urban), Kalyanadurga, Puthiyacheru, Settoor

 

Visakhapatnam(3): Visakha (urban), Padmanabham, Narsipatnam (urban). The Green Zone Zone will go into the RZ if cases are reported. The district has asked collectors to implement the guidelines issued by the Center from July 20
