Hyperloop, the US-based company which has introduced the futuristic "Hyperloop" Transportation System to the world has made MoU and joined hands with the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
Hyperloop is one of the most anticipated and highly sophisticated futuristic transportation technology which is getting ready to change the futuristic trasportation concept completely. This transportation system would see passengers and cargo thrown through vacuum tubes at around the speed of sound in specially designed capsules. This was very first proposed by a joint team from Tesla and SpaceX and first named as vactrain. But the concept of Hyperloop mode of transportation was made more prominent when it was notably backed by business magnate and inventor, Elon Musk. Nonetheless it has not been implemented for practical use anywhere in the world yet.
While Elon Musk’s company, HTT is currently planning to build networks of tubes in South Korea, Slovakia, Abu Dhabi and the US-California region, the INDIA-Andhra Pradesh deal becomes the latest one. The Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (AP-EDB) and the American based Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HTT) signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) here in AP Secretariat at Amaravati on Wednesday. If everything goes well, this will be the first Hyperloop project to be implemented in India. This proposed Hyperloop line connects the citi centers of Vijayawada and Amaravati which are 35 Kilometers away will be covered in 5 minutes’ time.
This is an amazing step that has been taken by the AP Government. Though the HTT was still in the trial mode at different countries across the globe, Chandrababu was keen in meeting the Hyperloop officials during the World Economic Forum held in Switzerland in January, later he had another round of discussions with them at the AP Secretariat here recently. This was led to join the hands now with HTT by exchanging the MoU on Wednesday.
If this project successfully completes, Amaravati region will gain a significant place in the world map as most of the sophisticated countries are still lagging behind Andhra Pradesh in stepping into the Hyperloop.
