Administrative Amaravati – City plan to finalize

The master plan of the administrative area of Amaravati City is in the process of approaching the finalizing phase. The administrative area approximately constitutes of 900 acres. United Kingdom based Norman-Foster Architect company is working to bring a shape to Amaravati as the most modern and ecologically balanced design. Andhra Pradesh Assembly and the AP High Court, both will raise as the iconic buildings of the administrative area. A huge commercial zone comes-up along with it.


The administrative city will be constructed in Blue and Green. As much as 56 % of the 900 acres would be lashed with greenery including nature parks. 14% of the city area is covered with the water bodies.


Another important aspect of the city transportation is supported by the Driverless Rapid Public Transportation System which would be first of its kind in India. cycling and walking tracks are given priority as the one of the main mottos of this city is a pollution-free environment.


By taking the traffic hassle that is being faced by the other old traditional Indian cities like Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad etc. Amaravati is set to avoid the traffic congestion. The traffic system design is based on the London type of “squares” system. This system keeps the city streets perfectly parallel and perpendicular ways by keeping the distances any Two buildings one to another as minimum as possible. The planners designed a pollution-free environment. Ancient and rich Heritage and culture of the Andhra Pradesh is planned and designed to reflect in every inch of Amaravati. The foundation stone of the internal road construction is set to be laid in the occasion of Ugadi.
